The Bunge & Born Foundation is a non-profit organization created on 1 August 1963, in commemoration of the Bunge & Born economic group’s 80th anniversary in Argentina.
From the very beginning, the Foundation spelled out its mission to “Promote scientific research by giving awards, grants and scholarships, and carry out projects to benefit the community in the fields of education, health and culture”.
For over 50 years, this nation-wide organization has emphasized the importance of “helping those who help themselves”. In line with its logo, the aim is to collaborate with whoever “ignites that spark” in the quest for knowledge, growth and evolution. The Foundation seeks to have a strategic outlook into the future, strongly based on innovation, with professionally-managed, high-quality projects.
Its vision is to “be considered an honest organization which undertakes its tasks in a committed and professional manner, through the design and implementation of good-quality programmes.”
The symbol chosen in 1963 said it all: two work-weathered hands protecting a feeble flame that was starting to rise.
In 1998, the logo was streamlined, although good care was taken to maintain its original strength and energy.
The logo synthesizes the spirit underlying the dream the creators of the Bunge & Born Foundation and, still current nowadays, it motivates the Foundation to cooperate in strengthening Argentine society, through innovative programmes of excellence, especially designed in each of its fields of work.
“We promote knowledge and innovation to benefit our society”.
